It’s that time of the year again. This year’s annual event will be held as follows: -
Date: 22May2011
Registration opens at 11.00am
Tee-Off: after Zohor
Venue: Impiana GC, Kajang

Format: Strokeplay
Categories: OPEN (12 prizes)
SENIOR (4 rpizes)

Novelties (4 prizes)

Tournament Fees include lunch, goodies, dinner and prizes to winners.
RM200 (members), RM250 (non-members)

Please confirm your participation by SMS only to 013-2928835. Closing date is on Sunday midnight 15May2011. A 'no-show 'subject to club charges.

Please be advised that this event is coinciding with the club’s AGM which will be held at 11.00am on the same day. Please come early for the AGM.

Boarding schools to help churn out more athletes

BOARDING schools will be turned into a centre of sports excellence as they have the facilities and a single school session that can help realise plans to produce more national athletes.

The government is studying the possibility of compelling each boarding school student to take up at least one type of sport while pursuing their secondary education.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the plan could be implemented as there were dozens of boarding schools in Malaysia.

Green House Mentoring Programme

Current committee for Green House Mentorship Programme plan to collaborate with Black House to organize a self-development training for form 4 students. Details are as follows:
Participants: Form 4 students (Green and Black House)
Time: To be decided (May, June or July 2011)
Duration: 2 days and 1 night
Content: Career sharing, self-development mentoring.
Estimated cost: RM 150 per pax for approximately 20 students and 5 teachers.
Calling all the Green House old boys to generously contribute for this implementation. We also would really appreciate if any of the old boys could participate in this programme, as speakers for the programme, to share our experience with the students.

On behalf of the old boys, I would like to invite you all to the Wind Orchestra Festival (formerly known as SBP Wind Orchestra Competition) this coming Saturday. STARWinds will be competing in the 1st division against other SBP and cluster schools and we do appreciate your support (big applause will do them good)

The event will be held at the Cempaka Sari auditorium, Presint 3, Putrajaya (landmark : government complex) on Saturday, 23rd of April 2011. In the morning or afternoon? We'll have the info after the team registration on the 22nd.
